Data Strategy

Generate business value out of data

Challenges
you're facing now

The volume of business data worldwide doubles every 1.2 years, according to Arizona State University. However, less than 0.5% of that data is ever analysed, according to MIT. For most organizations, data is an untapped asset that is costly to maintain. Our mission is to turn this burden into an opportunity to give our clients a competitive advantage.

How do we help you, concretely?

  • Data Strategy

    Data Strategy

The first step toward becoming a data-driven organization.

Data was long a by-product of business activity with little added value. This has changed: data is now a critical asset that supports decision making.

We thus support our clients in defining and implementing a data strategy that combines high level initiatives and daily operations. We do so by considering current business and technology commitments while also addressing new goals and objectives.

    What makes us different?

To ensure the full benefit of enterprise data, a structured and strategic approach is necessary.

We support our customers while creating and implementing their business-orientated Data Strategy that leads to an analytical and therefore profitable use of data. Data Strategy is about elaborated, and goal-oriented procedures based on efficient analysis of the data-related organization, processes, and systems to optimize and extend current business.

We start with a sophisticated exploration of the existing situation and provide you with an analytical overview, including qualitative evaluation.

    • Where does data come from?
    • How well is the data integrated?
    • What is the specific need?
    • Who has access to the data and for what purpose?
    • How can the existing data enhance business decisions?

Coming from that analysis we do design thinking together with our customers to find concrete use cases, including business value and technical feasibility. Based on this maturity analysis, we then create a road map for the long-term development towards a data-driven business.

  • Data Governance

    Data Governance

Transform your data into an asset that is understood, trusted, and used in the decision-making processes.

Companies can now capture massive amounts of diverse data. With this, also comes the responsibility of having a discipline to maximize the value of data.

    We help our clients to:

    • Manage the ever-increasing volumes of data,
    • Optimize data processes,
    • Create an effective data accountability structure.

All this will lead to increasing the quality of data, decreasing the risks associated with data and transforming data into a corporate asset that is understood, trusted, and properly used in the decision-making processes.

Our Data Governance Methodology is designed to be flexible, practical, and measurable – the three success criteria our clients are looking for.

We help you establish the data roles, processes, and tools that ensure data is understood, trusted, and has the level of quality required by your business processes.

We achieve this via 3 phases:

1 – In Design Phase, we lay foundations by:

    • Performing a Data Maturity Assessment
    • Designing the Data Governance Operating Model
    • Defining the Data Principles, and Data Policies

2 – In the Implementation phase, we incrementally and iteratively apply the Data Governance Maturity Model (DGMM) methodology.

DGMM is objectively assessing the capability of our clients to define, manage, and use their data in accordance with the Data Strategy, Data Principles, and Data Policies previously defined.

3 – In Governance phase, we make sure you have all the capabilities and tools necessary to maintain data quality and data roles, to monitor data metrics, and to manage data controls.
